The Winter Prep for the Homeless Event today was short of miraculous. We had multiple organizations working together to assist in making the event a success. I thank the individual families who have volunteered and donated to include the following organizations and businesses:
The event could not have existed without your love and I’m grateful to each and everyone of you! I am creating a section in this website that will have the donations from each organization and also a section that will include a list of requests taken at the event which we did not have at hand.
Organizations are joining forces to ready the unhoused for the cold winter by providing winter apparel, toiletries, haircuts, organization where to go information, assistance with obtaining ID cards and will serve food & drinks.
Please note that items are limited on a first come first serve basis. Requests will be recorded for later distribution.
Check out this video created at Church Park, Nashville, TN. The day was sunny and beautiful and we had many smiling faces.
I am saturated with a huge workload, yet it balances out with showers of love. The Winter Prep for the Homeless Event will be a very important milestone in my life, yet it will be a first of many hurdles before my time comes.
The people that knows me, knows that I’ve always been that person to give the shirt off my back, my last meal, my last dollar as well as space in my home. They also fear for my well being as I suffer from PTSD, anxiety and depression due to military related issues. Well, my loves, just know that my strength comes from God. He’s given me the tools and experiences I needed to conquer whatever lies ahead. I’m very confident in making a huge dent in the homeless community.
The HUBS website, helpingunhoused.org will have everything posted from donations received, donations distributed as well as hurdles conquered wether the funds are donated or comes out of pocket. My organization will be an open book to all. I pray that it will help others to do the same thing and have a chain effect.
I know of people hesitant in giving as they fear their hard earned money will be misused. I dedicate the rest of my life that all funds will be used for the greater good. I ask that you help me make a difference.
